Kathy Aoki creates photopolymer etchings, relief prints, lithographs, silkscreens, and artist books. She received her MFA in Printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Her prints have been acquired by many prominent collections including the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Harvard University Art Museums, and the city of Seattle. Print exhibition locations include New York City, Japan, Ecuador, San Francisco, Cambridge, and Los Angeles. Aoki was awarded five residencies related to printmaking: the Frans Masereel Centrum in Belgium (2013, 2019), Val Paraiso in Spain, the MacDowell Colony in New Hampshire, and the Kala Art Institute in California.

Aoki prints and teaches at Santa Clara University.
